“My brief was simple: smell nice and clean me. I didn’t care what it looked like… after all, it’s just to wash my bum! 😂 I joined one of Ita’s workshops and wow… I was not disappointed”★★★★★ David B.

Spend a relaxed, creative morning making your own artisan soap at The Window Box Workshop in Tarleton, Lancashire.

Think joyful colour, tiny pieces of soap confetti, beautiful embedded shapes, tea, biscuits and a wonderfully satisfying morning of making.

You'll combine colourful soap confetti with a pre-made column embed, choosing from shapes such as hearts, stars and other designs available on the day, to create a soap loaf that is completely your own.

Once cut and cured, your loaf will make approximately 10–11 individual artisan soap bars — perfect for enjoying at home, sharing with friends or giving as handmade gifts.

No previous soap making experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and a love of creativity.

What You Will Create

During the workshop, you will make your own 1kg cold process soap loaf, filled with colourful soap confetti and finished with a decorative pre-made column embed.

You'll have the opportunity to play with colour and design while learning how these different elements can be brought together to create a striking handmade soap.

Your finished loaf will later be unmoulded and cut into approximately 10–11 individual bars.

Because traditional cold process soap needs time to set and cure, your loaf will remain with me after the workshop. Once fully cured, your soaps will be carefully prepared and wrapped before being made available for collection or posted to you free of charge.

A few weeks later, you'll receive the finished soaps you created yourself — ready to use, share or gift.

Why You'll Love This Workshop

This workshop is about much more than simply learning how to make soap. It's a chance to switch off for a few hours, play with colour, try something new and enjoy creating something entirely with your own hands.

Your confetti, colours and chosen embed mean that no two soap loaves need look quite the same.

And perhaps the loveliest part comes a few weeks later, when your finished soaps arrive and you can say: "I made those."

Come and spend a creative morning with me at the Window Box Workshop in Tarleton, near Preston, and discover just how satisfying traditional soap making can be.
